So you’ve bought your first home or you are looking to refresh your space or you are a just a fan of throw pillows - but whatever the reason may be, I’ve got you covered!

As individuals we all have our likes and dislikes which means finding the right throw pillow can be tricky and if you are no one for decorative additions, it can be impossible. So, here are my 5 top combinations that will always look amazing on your sofa, bed or just about anywhere in your living space!

The Modern

To make the most of the modern feel can be done by simply pairing up black and white or neutral colours to emphasise on a clean and modern feel. Plus one of the best features I love about modern design is, it looks great as a standard throw pillow or lumbar pillow!

The black and white throw pillow from left to right: Chevron Slice - White on Black, Speckled Black I, Virulent Black and White Lines on Black I.

Flowery and Ditsy

Now, a floral pattern can be a bit overwhelming because they can quite bold yet simple or have a gradual intricacy due to the space they need to fully capture the essence of flowers. So by combining the ditsy, small scattered or random motifs, with floral elements makes for a lovely fleshed out throw pillow with pops of colours to fit with your colour scheme.

With these pattern prints, you only really need one or two to pull the eye so I wouldn’t go overboard with these as it can overwhelm the eyes.

Patterned products from left to right are: Floral Sprinkles, Budding Flourish, Summer Foliage and Flowery Bouquet.

Geometric Tones

These feature solid hues of of varying brightness which are all encased in strong geometric shapes and the great thing about them is the ability to mix in a variety of colours because the geometric aesthetic ties them all in nicely together.

Throw pillows from left to right are: Coral Mosaic, Dusk & Dawn, Triangulated Colours and Turquoise Mosaic.

The Abstracts

As I like to say, go bold or go home. But why not bring that boldness home? Well you can do just that with throw pillows that feature an abstract print.

Abstract art usually leaves their meaning to be interpreted by the individual, this makes an abstract throw pillow a great choice to be your hero pillow that stands out amongst the rest while still working cohesively as a unit of decorative pillows.

Pillows from left to right: Abstraction I, Arbitrary Orbit II, Arbitrary Memphis and Pastels & Crossroads.

Pattern Love

Are you a pattern lover or do you want to pick up the pattern love game? Well with a pair of patterned throw pillows, you can create a marriage of colours that won’t boringly blend into one.

Use patterned prints that feature recognisable motifs to strike attention or other more abstract patterns can create intrigue to make the eye curiously scan your decor.

Patterned throws pillows from left to right: Pastel Gems, Green Eyes, Harlequins IV and Mandala Tiles.
